Efrat Buchris
Efrat Buchris was born in Jerusalem. She holds a BA in musicology and history from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, and a teaching certificate from the University’s School of Education. She received her Master’s and PhD in Musicology from Bar-Ilan University. Her multidisciplinary doctoral dissertation combines musicology, Bible studies and art history. She also studied music at the Jerusalem Music academy, and architecture and interior design at Ort Career in Rehovot. She is currently Vice President and Head of the Education Department at the Washington Hill Academic College of Education. Her research focuses on music philosophy and the relations between music, religion and society.
